You can principally visit the Brose Sitech GmbH website without telling us who you are.

We then automatically only receive the following log data:

  • an anonymous cookie ID that does not enable identification of your IP address,
  • the name of your internet service provider,
  • the operating system and web browser you are using as well as the screen resolution you have set,
  • the date and time of your visit,
  • the website from which you are visiting us, and
  • the individual pages of our websites that you have visited.

Unless otherwise stated in the following sections, personal data are processed exclusively by Brose Sitech GmbH.

C. Collection, using and processing of personal data

I. General information

Your personal data include information such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address. Personal data are only collected, processed and/or used in case that you provide them voluntarily, e.g. to establish, design or amend the content of a contractual relationship concluded between you and us, to register for personalised services, or if you send us an enquiry via the website. In addition, your personal data are only used if you have given your prior consent. We use your personal data strictly according to the legal rules. Your given data will be used solely for answering your questions unless you have given us separate advice.

II. Use of Google Maps

Brose Sitech GmbH uses the map service of Google Maps via API provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; www.google.de).

For using the Google Maps functions it is necessary to save your IP address. This information will normally be transferred for storage to a server in the USA, owned by Google. The provider of this site has no influence on the data transfer.

The use of Google Maps is to present our online offers inviting as well as to enable easy retrieval of places served on our website. This constitutes a justified interest according to Art. 6 para. 1 subs. f GDPR.

III. Online application in the Career Portal at sitech-bewerbung@brose-sitech.com

1. Which personal data are collected and processed?

For the correct settlement of our application procedure we need your following personal data, which will be processed according to Art. 88 para. 1 combined with Art. 13 and 14 GDPR:

2. For what purpose is my data collected and how is it processed?

We process and use your personal data in our Career Portal exclusively to ensure an effective and correct handling of the application process for the job offers advertised there. This also applies to data added in the course of the application procedure, e.g. from queries and subsequently submitted documents.

Your data will be stored in your “application profile”, which you can access at any time with your access data. The application profile can be approved for all vacancies in the Career Portal. You can independently block your application profile at any time with effect for the future. Your data will then only be visible to us within the framework of ongoing application processes.

You can also dispose the erasure of your application profile. This means that your data is no longer available and any applications that may still be in process will be terminated.

For the purpose of sending you the access data for our Career Portal, your registration data (surname, first name, user name, e-mail address, start of process, status of e-mail confirmation) are collected. These registration data are considered application data for further processing.

3. Who processes my data?

  • Our processing activity

Your application will not be checked automatically, neither in the pre-selection process nor in any further selection process. The application is reviewed and checked by employees in Human Resources and by employees/managers in the departments of our company. This also applies with regard to matching a staffing requirement against an existing application profile, provided that you have created this with us. Any persons involved in the processing are individually bound to secrecy and to treat your data with the strictest confidence. Your data will be stored on servers in Germany.

  • Third parties as processors

If you receive an invitation to an Online Assessment Center (OAC), this will be carried out on our behalf by HR Diagnostics AG (Königstrasse 20, 70173 Stuttgart; www.hr-diagnostics.de). To send your access data, we transfer the following personal data: surname, first name, e-mail address. The purpose of the processing is the use of methodically targeted instruments (e.g. cognitive tests, personality tests and professional tests) to determine the suitability level for individual job profiles. 4. When will my data or my application be erased?

We comply with the statutory erasure periods. As long as one of your applications is in the application process, the corresponding data remain stored.

If your application profile is approved, your data and the application profile will be automatically erased 24 months after receipt of your application or the end of the most recent application process.

You can also ask us to erase your application profile at any time.

D. Data security

Your data will be treated strictly confidentially and encrypted during electronic transfer.

E. Tracking Tools

Cookies

The websites partly use so called Cookies. Cookies do not cause damages on your computer and do not contain virus. Cookies help us making our offer more efficient, safe and user-friendly. Cookies are small text files stored by your browser on your computer.

Most of used by us cookies are “Session-Cookies” which will be erased after the end of your session. Other cookies stay stored on your computer as long as you have not erased them. These cookies enable us to identify your browser at your next session.

You can make your browser inform you of setting of cookies as well as allow cookies in particular case only, to bar cookies in particular cases or in general. Furthermore, you can activate the automatic erasure of cookies when closing the browser. Deactivation of cookies may reduce functionality of this website.

Cookies necessary for electronic communication or for supply of functions you want to use (e.g. “Shopping cart”) will be stored according to Art. 6 para. 1 subs. f GDPR. The website provider has got an legitimate interest to save cookies to provide his services technically error-free and optimized. In case of storing other cookies (e.g. cookies to analyse your surfing behavions) they will be handled separately in this declaration.

F. Your rights

You may assert the following rights against Brose Sitech GmbH free of charge at any time.

Right to rectification: You have the right to request us to rectify any inaccurate or incomplete personal data concerning you.

Right to erasure: If the conditions specified in Art. 17 GDPR are met, you have the right to request the erasure of your data. According to this, you can, for example, request the erasure of your data if they are no longer needed for the purposes for which they were collected. You can also request erasure if we process your data on the basis of your consent and you revoke this consent.

Right to restrict processing: You have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your data if the requirements of Art. 18 GDPR are met. This is the case, for example, if you dispute the accuracy of your data. For the time it takes to verify your data’s correctness, you can require the restriction of its processing.

Right of access: You have the right to obtain information from us about the processing of your personal data.

In connection with the processing of your personal data, you can make a request for access by using the following contact options:

Right of objection: If the processing is used in an overriding interest or your data are used for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object to the processing of your data. An objection shall be permissible if the processing is either in the public interest or is being carried out in the exercise of an official authority or a legitimate interest on the part of Brose Sitech GmbH or a third party. In the event of objection, we ask you to inform us of the reasons for which you object to data processing. In addition, you have the right to object to data processing for direct marketing purposes. This also applies to profiling, as far as it is related to direct advertising.

Right to data portability: If data processing is based on consent or contract fulfilment using automated processing, you have the right to obtain your data in a structured, standard and machine-readable format and to transfer it to another data processor.

Right of withdrawal: If the data processing is based on consent you have the right to object the data processing by withdrawing your consent with effect for the future at any time and free of charge.

Right of appeal: You also have the right of appeal to a supervisory authority (e.g. the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen) about our processing of your data.
